There was mold in the tub, around the toilet and some around the bathroom sink. One of the hotel workers comes up to my fiance with a bottle of liquor in his hand saying, "what's wrong with the room?" after we've only been there for 5 minutes. She had no idea whether there was anything wrong or not, but with someone making a comment like that sort of worried us. Also, there was some hair on the bed.
Absolutly nothing! The person who checked us in didn't sem to know what he was doing. The room was terrible as far as being clean. It smelled horrible for a non smoking room. I will not stay at this motel ever agin and would not recommend it to a living person.
Its location was decent.
The room was unpleasant with an unpainted section of wall, heavily stained carpets and furniture, broken or missing light fixtures, an incompletely cleaned countertop, and lack of supplies like cups and tissues.
We spent only one night here - but the hotel correponds to our needs.
The hotel staff is very nice. The location is very central to Missoula and it is easy to drive anywhere from it. Plus it was a reasonable rate.
Make sure you call to confirm the pool, sauna, and jacuzzi are open. They were closed for the season when we went and it was 2 days before the beginning of summer- strange. Also the jacuzzi/sauna is indoors so there is really no reason to close it for the season. The jacuzzi was one of the reasons we chose this hotel and then we didn't get to enjoy it.
Carpet was dirty and the room smelled of clorox. No towels in the room when we got there and one of the lights by the bed did not work. The internet pictures are much nicer that the actual motel.
The room was dingy and poorly maintained, lights and outlets did not work. The bathroom floor had hot spots and the shower looked so unkept that my wife skipped the daily shower. It was not a 3 star place as advertised.
The front desk lady was very rude and impersonal. Only cared about talking to what seemed to be her friends.
The room I was assigned had a screen over window that had obviously been accessed by the outside. (Frame was still bent) Curtains were ripped/torn at both top & bottom, the levers for the a/c & heat vent were broken and the outside case surrounding the unit was coming off. There was a piece of black electrical tape across the security view in the door. The emergency exit information was missing from the back of the door. The telephone book was from 2006-08. I used bathroom once and had to call front desk for another roll of toilet paper. There was no spare in room and shower stall floor was dirty. The container for the kleenex holder within vanity was missing and all of the hangers for the closet were missing. The hotel pool was partially covered with a ripped cover and obviously had not been used in quiet some time based on the color of the water. The Hot Tub had a sign on the door saying it was closed for the season and the excercise room had two pieces of equipment in a regular room along with a 6' step ladder and what appeared to be plaster all over the floor. Did not actually go in. For the free continental breakfast the OJ machine was out of order and 2 of the 5 cereal dispensers were empty. This was at 6:45 am. When I checked out the staff did not ask how was my stay, thank you for staying with us, etc. Not customer friendly. Sorry, I can't think of anything I liked about staying at the Southgate Inn Missoula. Regards, Teresa
People were nice and responsive to all problems
Very dirty. Room had stains. People were living in rooms full time. No toilet paper, lackmof towels, remote didn't work for tv, first room smelled like pure chlorine bleach. Pool was closed.
That we had a place to lay our heads! It was late at night and we were very tired.
The receptionist wasn't very helpful when we arrived, not telling us where the stairway was, and we were confused. The breakfast was a real let down from the write up in the aaa book. It was very minimal not an expanded continental. And we had noisy neighbors, partying half the night. It was not a restful place!
Price they charged me was actually less than that quoted by Booked.net. Very convenient to Southgate Mall and other restaurants and stores we wanted to visit.
Pretty rundown. I believe it is for sale. Room with two queen beds had one bath towel. Non smoking room had an ashtray on the bed stand.
Nothing! We had stayed previously two years ago and thought it would be ok. We felt when we made reservations that they were remodeling and the motel would be in disarray.
When we arrived the motel was in disarray in remodel status. The room was a mess yet we were not compensated. The next day there was no cleaning service. No cups, nothing. They said they would compensate our credit card. They have not. We have turned it over to the attorney general to the state of Montanta. Window screens were bent out. Not safe to stay.
It was cheap and I am not too picky about where I sleep since it would be a few hours past midnight [after concert] till I would go to bed. You get what you pay for.
The chairs were broken. Sure you could sit in them just fine but they rocked like crazy and should've remained... stationary. Same with the table in the room, very cheap materials. The bathroom sink knob was broken and no way to turn water off or on in the bathroom/shower.
